Geshe Lharampa Jampa Wangchuk was born April 15th, 1972 in Lhasa, Tibet. He was admitted to Gaden Shartse Monastery in Tibet at the age of 8 and in 1980 began his Buddhist studies and the memorization of the 5 major texts. He fled India in 1986, passing over the Himalayas, to join Gaden Shartse Monastic University in South India.
