His Eminence Kyabje Zong Rinpoche, was born in 1985 in Kuluta, North India. He was recognized by His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama in 1990 as the unmistaken reincarnation of the previous Zong Rinpoche and that same year, started his studies under the guidance of Sharpa Choje Rinpoche and Kyabje Lati Rinpoche at Gaden Shartse Monastery in Mundgod, South India.

In 1999, Rinpoche formally began his study of the five major Buddhist treatises and also regularly taught many students. In 2019, Rinpoche completed the Gelug Geshe examinations, achieving the Geshe Lharampa degree with the highest honors. After a year in retreat, Rinpoche attended Gyuto Tantric College and completed his tantric studies in 2022.
Rinpoche regularly engages in study, contemplation, and meditation, following in the footsteps of his predecessors. He is dedicated to preserving and spreading the precious Buddhist teachings, primarily following the Gelug tradition.
Rinpoche has traveled to many Western countries including the USA, Canada, Switzerland, Spain, France, Germany, Italy, and Singapore, bestowing empowerments, transmissions, and instructions to devoted students.
