buy buy buy!The monastic staff, board members, and students of Gaden Shartse Thubten Dhargye Lingsend you our most sincerest and warmest wishes on this Tibetan New Year. May it be filled with love, laughter, and peace!
Dear GSTDL students,
We hope this finds you in the best of health and spirits. Losar is just around the corner and we would like to wish you all a very happy new year full of peace, hope, and clarity. As it's been long overdue and students may have been concerned about Tulku Tenzin Thardoe's well-being throughout this past year in light of the pandemic, I would like to share an update on Tulku.
You will be happy to know that Tulku is happy, healthy, and growing very quickly. He is extremely intelligent and kind and caring in his demeanor. Tulku recently joined our monastery's monks in officially attending prayers ceremonies and debate sessions. Though still only 10 years old, Tulku's ahead of the curve and has begun the first year of the monastic education program. Through his open and outgoing personality, Tulku has made so many friends. He greatly enjoys the company of his classmates and their social and academic interactions during are very beneficial. As part of joining this class of first-year students, Tulku also participated in this year's annual winter debate which only recently concluded. Tulku's transition to the official academic system has been seamless and he has never displayed any hesitance or nervousness. I'm very encouraged by this and rejoice in Tulku's development. Tulku's continues to memorize and recite his texts as always. He also takes the time to practice his English and loves to read. I hope this brings you all peace of mind.
Tulku sends his warmest greetings to you and your families. Please continue to pray and dedicate your merit to the success and fulfillment of Tulku's wishes. Never forget the direct impact your prayers have and always feel inspired by the special spiritual connection you share with our precious guru. May you be free from all obstacles and experience only good fortune and success. May you have everything you wish for and may you never be separated from the blessings and guidance of the Three Jewels.
Below are a few pictures and videos I took of Tulku these past few days. Some are from Tulku's residence while others are from our khangtsen's auspicious prayer rituals for the new year. Please let them be a reminder of the Dharma and your practice.
Sincerely,
Geshe Jampa Norbu
