GSTDL to Host His Holiness the Dalai Lama in April 2012

We had the great honor of hosting His Holiness the Dalai Lama's teachings and public talks in Long Beach. We are working to make his public talk available soon.

His Holiness the Dalai LamaIt gives us great joy to announce that Gaden Shartse Thubten Dhargye Ling will be hosting His Holiness the Dalai Lama on April 20-21, 2012. We are honored that His Holiness has decided to confer the preliminary rites for Solitary Yamantaka Initiation on the afternoon of April 20 and the actual initiation on the morning of April 21. In the afternoon of April 21, His Holiness will be delivering a public talk on Peace of Mind in Troubled Times. These events will take place in the Long Beach Arena at the Long Beach Convention Center.

His Holiness is requiring several commitments from those who attend the initiation. Please see the Highest Yoga Tantra page for more information on the initiation. Because it is so rare that His Holiness would confer an initiation from the Highest Yoga Tantra class of initiations in the United States, we feel something very special and significant will be taking place. Tickets for the initiation will be free of cost for all, with the exception of a $25 registration fee. However, only serious students who are willing to abide by the commitments laid out by His Holiness may attend the initiation. Please read the Highest Yoga Tantra page for more details. Registration will close Thursday, March 15, 2012.

Public Talk: His Holiness will be giving a public talk entitled Peace of Mind in Troubled Times. Tickets for this event will be $94, $64, $37 and $20. Tickets for His Holiness' public talk are available for purchase by the general public via Ticketmaster. Tickets may also be purchased through the box office of the Long Beach Convention Center. Sponsors and monastics will not need to purchase tickets.

For those of you who cannot make it to Long Beach, we will be offering live streamed video of the talk through at The video will also be archived and available after the talk.
